Itinenary
Day 1
Arrive in Istanbul
Transfer to airport in Izmir, and some free time to rest and refresh. Later in the afternoon an orientation drive in Izmir also visiting the Asansor (the Jewish quarter) and the market-place.
Day 2
Izmir
Full day excursion visiting the Ancient City of Ephesus, one of the best preserved ancient sites in the world; the Archaeology Museum, and the House of Virgin Mary, where she spent her final years. Return to Izmir.
Day 3
Izmir - Sardis - Izmir - Istanbul
Depart from the hotel to visit Sardis, once a big Jewish settlement and famous for its well-preserved gymnasium. Come back to Izmir to fly to Istanbul in late afternoon. Transfer to hotel in Istanbul.
Day 4
Istanbul
A full day excursion visiting the Jewish Quarter, with its authentic houses and narrow streets; the Jewish Elderly House, the Grand Bazaar; the largest covered market in the world with its 4000 shops; and the Spice Bazaar, a favorite of tourists.
